SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Alexander I Balas, 152-145 BC. Drachm (Silver, 18 mm, 4.08 g, 11 h), Ekbatana, 150-circa 148 or 147. Diademed head of Alexander I to right. Rev. [B]AΣIΛEΩΣ / AΛEΞANΔPOY - [Θ]ΕΟΠΑΤΟΡΟΣ / [Ε]ΥΕΡΓΕΤΟΥ Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in his right hand and resting his left on grounded bow; to outer left, [monogram]. SC 1871b. Struck from a somewhat worn obverse die, otherwise, good extremely fine.

This is one of the last Seleukid coins struck in Ekabatana before the city's capture by the Parthians in 148/7 BC.
